On the crisp and wet morning of 16th janary myself and kate headed from different areas of the country to heathrow airport to start our year adventure!! Rod, Jen and Jake came along to make sure we left!After saying our goodbyes we headed straight to the bar!! Couple of alcoholoic beverages later and our nerves were definately better. We headed on the Quantas flight bound for singapore. The flight had the biggest selection of films etc so i we were kept amused during the flight and the copious amounts of alcohol helped!!
We got to singapore and had an hour before getting back on board again so quick dash to the toilets for teeth cleaning and a new pair of knickers and we were ready to head for Sydney!! I hadn't slept so took one of our sleeping tablets and promptly slipped into a coma!! - i was only awoken by the head air steward asking me and kate to assess a patient on board for possible menningitis! Apparently we had the power to order the captain to land the plane at the next available airport if the patient was sick enough! What power!!! She was obviously fine, so off we headed back to our seats thinking the air steward who then take us up the plane to business calss, but no - we were just plied with more alcoholic beverages and copious amounts of peanuts and little snacks!
Arrived in Sydney and Stevie picked us up.
